Using a heat exchanger, air being extracted from the building mixes with fresh air being supplied to the building. The mixing of the two, creates a heat exchange to either increase or decrease the fresh air from outside. This is the most efficient way of supplying clean, filtered air to a building.
Maintenance of the HRU is also important to maintain the air quality and efficiency of the system. Cleaning the filters and heat exchanger every 6 months is our recommended PPM interval.
